Magic Mouse

4 posts in this topic

Well, we've had a couple of new iMacs in at work (very nice, very speedy - the base model is an absolute bargain - same specs as a fully maxed out 24" a year ago!) so I've "liberated" one of the Magic Mice to replace my broken Mighty Mouse at work, and with the release of the Wireless Mouse Update 1.0 this morning, I can finally use it.

First thoughts: It's very nice. Scrolling works well (although is a little laggy at times when your processor is having a hard time), and the swipe to navigate in Safari is very handy.

I've only been using it for a couple of hours, but I fear it may end up being a little too low to be comfortable for extended use, but time will tell.

Overall, it's a very nice update. I hope apple come out with a wired version soon so we can use them at work - wireless mice tend to get dropped on the floor quite a bit here!

So now what do you think after having used it for a while?

Agony to use over time. I'm back to the old mighty mouse.

The magic mouse certainly looks great, but then with a mouse comfort and ease of use is probably more important.
