iPhone no longer will connect to iTunes

Hello!

 

Suddenly, my iPhone 6+ will not connect to iTunes. I get this error message:

 

**iTunes could not connect to the iPhone "GLEN's iPhone" because an invalid response was received from the device.**

 

 

It has connected problem-free for the last year or so. I did update to iOS 10 in September. Does this have anything to do with it?

 

HELP!

Have you updated iTunes lately? Another easy thing to try is using a different port on your Mac.

I tried other ports for connection with no luck. My iTunes version is 12.2.2. It shows as up-to-date for software.

Very confused.

Sorry, Bud. Then we are up to 'which Mac OS are you on' ? I have had to upgrade my MacOS several times over the last 10 years to keep up with the expected iOS for my iPhone

That was the issue. Updated to Sierra and now all is good. The update I did to iOS 10 was the issue. Major changes in that demand a more current MacOS.

Glad to hear it worked out. Love Apple but have to admit that it really isn't "It just works" anymore :)
