    Sync MAC w/ a Cellphone

I sync my full address book, contacts, and calendars to the phone through iSync. I just got the razr and I tried to geti it sync, but iSync kept crashing. What settings did you put in there? I'm on OSX 10.4.3 and iSync 2.1.1 I also had pocketmac on my system - I think that this may be a cause of my problems, but I thought I'd put it out there to see if anyone have any tips. D.
  2. It's been a while since I have printed a photo from my computer to my printer. So I was updating some things and decided to print on both photo paper and plain paper, but somehow, it printed in B&W. I haven't change any setting on the print options. I even checked all the presets and there is no indication that it should print in B&W. I don't think that it's b/c my cartridge is out of colour - if that is the case, the image would look like it was missing a lot of information. Does anyone know what might be happening or what I might have done? (If this matters, I haven't done the last update on the OSX). Also my connection to the printer is wireless through Airport Express. Thanks in advance for reading and responding. Doris
  3. Hi All, I hope that someone can help me with this as it's tough to find the support anywhere else. I have an airport express, which I have my HP 1210 All-in-one. In general it works great. But for some reason lately, it hasn't printed very well. If I'm printing something simple, like an email that is only one page, I don't realy have any problems and it goes through quite quickly. But anything more than a page, or any graphics, it hangs. Then I hear my harddrive spin like crazy. It doesn't stop until I turn the printer off and it spits out the half printed page. I really like being able to have the wireless printing (mostly b/c of space and general setup in my small apartment). So I don't want to have to go back to hooking up directly to the iMac. I recently added RAM, so I wouldn't think that that would be the cause. I have 768 RAM, 1.8 GHz iMac. and I am running on OSX 10.4.2 Any comments are appreciated.
  4. My understanding is that if I buy the music, it's mine. But I swear that I heard on either TMO Mac Geek Gab or Inside Mac Radio that they said that Apple changed the number of times that you can burn the song from 10 times to 8 or something and that's why I'm asking. But if i heard wrong, great. I was sure that I burnt a CD (as music) and my friend still couldn't play it on her iBook.
  5. Does anyone know of a syncing software other than PocketMac Pro 3.0 and The Missing Sync 1.0? I'm also looking for a DVD encoding (I think that is what it is called) for PocketPC and works with Mac. Thanks in advance, Dot
  6. Hi All, I hope that it's okay that I put two questions in the same post. I hope that someone can help. I'm new to purchasing music (etc) from iTunes. I would like to know how many times I can burn the songs onto a CD? As audio files and/or data (mp3) files. Is there anyway of getting around the "lock" file? I made a CD for my friend and she said that a password was requested for her to play it on her iBook. -- As for my iPod question. I noticed that when I sync my iPod, the contacts are not syncing properly. I checked my preferences and I do have it set to sync all contacts. 2nd, I also noticed that if I had more than 2 addresses listed for a person that it will only allow 1 home and 1 business. Does anyone find the same? Thanks in advance for any comments that you have. Dot

    General iPod battery question

If updating the firmware is the same as doing software update and hooking up your iPod to update in iTunes, then yes. I might have done something wrong. Thanks for everyone's help.

    General iPod battery question

Thanks for the tip. This works for the Nano. It doesn't work for the 2G iPod. When I put it to sleep and wake it up later, it goes to the main menu and loses its spot. I think that I am going to chalk it up to being the program in the 2G iPod (unless anyone can tell me otherwise) Best, Doris

    General iPod battery question

The reason why I do it is b/c I tend to put my iPod into my purse when not listening to it and it holds the spot of what I was listening to last. I have found that with the other items in my bag ends up making the Pod play or go somewhere else. I thought that is what the hold button was for.
  10. I just wanted to know if anyone knows whether or not it drains the power to put the playback on PAUSE and then on HOLD? I have a 2G iPod and I was surprised how quickly the power drained. I pretty much chalk it up on the fact that it's an older model/battery and low battery power hold - but I wanted to be sure. I just received my Nano and I love it. I'm asking these questions now as I noted quite a bit of difference between the 2G and the Nano. So I almost feel like a new iPod owner instead of an upgrade owner. Any comments are appreciated.
  11. Does anyone know how to setup a home network? Or can give me a link to good, yet simple reading material that can teach me:?: I currently have one desktop, one laptop, a external HD and a printer. I also have Airport extreme. I just thought that it would be nice to hook up my two computers together so that they can talk. I'm not too great when it comes to networking. Any advise is appreciated.

    .mac & iSync

I don't know if it's not just not doing what I want b/c I was getting error codes. So in the end I had to reset my .Mac info. Oh well, thanks anyhow.

    .mac & iSync

I can't seem to get the sync to work between my .Mac account and iSync (well, I know that it goes through iTunes now). Basically I am getting error messages. I'm on the newest OSX Tiger (and I've done the lastest update). I have to admit that I do like Tiger overall, but there are these little things that are making things that worked on the previous OSX that I am not getting it to work smoothly in Tiger. Any comments or help appreciated.
