  1. I was just trying to jailbreak my iPhone using the method at hacktheiphone.com when I ran into a problem installing AppSnapp. After reading the AppSnapp F.A.Q. I found out that it's probaby because of #5, which says "I'm an AT&T customer, do I need this since it activates? AppSnapp is smart, if knows if you are an AT&T customer and doesn't try to activate if you already are activated." So do any of you know a way I can jailbreak my iPhone even though it's already been activated by AT&T? I want to jailbreak the phone to get the installer app on there so I can install whatever apps I want and unlock the SIM so I can sell my iPhone to someone else. Can any of you pleeeease help me? I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks for reading this!

    PuTTY Problem With iPhone

To those of you who are familiar with hacking the iPhone, will you please help me out with this? I'm trying to use the steps at hacktheiphone.com to jailbreak my iPhone. However, I can't even get past the first step (checking the bootloader version). I downloaded putty.exe and ran it. Then I put in my iPhone's IP address for my home network and tried to connect to it using PuTTY from my laptop at home. I'm getting this error message: "Network Error: Connection Refused." I even opened up port 22 on my router. I don't know what to do. Can someone please help me get this to work? Thanks!

    Scared to Unlock My iPhone

Hey, all. I posted this on the iLounge forum but I wanted to see what answers you guys have over here, too. I've been researching about unlocking my iPhone for the past few days and I have a few questions: Is there a good, working SIM unlocking method for firmware 1.1.2? (When I bought the phone, it was 1.0.2 If I want games and other applications, do I still have to jailbreak the phone even after unlocking the SIM, or will that take care of the jailbreaking itself? What is the BEST or most popular or most reliable SIM unlocking method? If I mess up during or after the unlocking/jailbreaking or decide later on that I want to re-lock the phone, will I be able to do this? What websites do you recommend for learning about this stuff and for getting applications and games after jailbreaking? What features simply will not work after unlocking/jailbreaking? I think I read somewhere that the visual voicemail won't work unless you're using an AT&T account. Is this true? Is there really anything to be afraid of with unlocking or jailbreaking my iPhone? Really? 8. Does the iPhone work with Verizon accounts after unlocking? Which carriers are proven to NOT work after unlocking? I think those are all the questions I have for now. If I think of any more, I'll come back and ask. Thanks for reading and posting!
  4. I have a iPod Video 5th gen and many times I want to listen to the entire library of a certain artist. In this case, let's say I want to listen to all of Led Zeppelin's songs on shuffle. Whenever I add albums to iTunes, I always check the "Skip when shuffling" box next to songs that haven't been released as radio singles. This way, when I choose "Shuffle Songs" on the main menu of my iPod, it plays only songs that I would hear on the radio (Voilà! My own personal radio station!). So let's say I want to only listen to Led Zeppelin's songs, but I want to hear ALL of their songs in shuffle. Prior to the iPod software v1.2.0, I would just go to Settings then switch the Shuffle option to "Songs." Then I would surf on over to Music-->Artists-->Led Zeppelin-->All then click on any song to start listening. It would then proceed to play ALL of Led Zeppelin's songs in shuffle, even if i had the "Skip when shuffling" box checked in a songs settings. To summarize, I liked it better when the "Skip when shuffling" option worked only when you choose "Shuffle Songs" from the main menu of the iPod, and NOT when you use the Shuffling options in the Settings menu. Does anyone know how I can switch back to version 1.2.0? I have version 1.2.1 and I can't find any info on how to revert back unless I have a backup file of that version. If anyone can help at all, I'd greatly appreciate it, and if any of this is unclear, please let me know and I'll try to explain it better. Thanks so much for reading my questions!
