    WWDC MacCast

Wow. I subscribe to both You and Ken. Both of you cried non-stop on this podcast. It was the most depressing coverage I've ever heard on any keynote update. It was partially like hearing a child complain about getting a gift they didn't ask for and disgruntled employees at a job they should just quit. Don't tell people Macs are for only home users BTW. You guys read way TOOOOOO far into things. I bought my mac pro about 3 months ago and adore it. This was a great keynote? You each had to really dig to hate on this one. I couldn't finish listening and quit about 1/2 way through. Boooo

Don't say: libary | Do say: library Comment: As mentioned before, English speakers dislike two [r]s in the same word. However, we have to buck up and pronounce them all. I love the podcast, please don't say "libary" anymore .

DVORAK on Apple switching to Windows (Wrong Answer John C.)

True, but with the Mac Mini, booting both OS X and Windows, I think it's a screaming deal for most. Especially at only $599, the small form factor, remote, and the quality. I use my PC for Fruityloops (which doesn't require much processing), and it is very noisy. Even my PC laptop is loud. Terrible for recording with microphones. The Mini also is my Media Hub, (bootleg of front row installed). I'm saving up for the next G5 replacement "Power Intel" or what ever it will be called. Being able to upgrade the CPU will be awesome instead of dealing with xlr8 and sonnet technologies. Can't wait for more universial binaries. Shane.

DVORAK on Apple switching to Windows (Wrong Answer John C.)

Everyone on TWIT gave DVORAK a hard time about his artical in pcworld or whatever pub it was. It was a publicity stunt I think after all. He, and many others on TWIT recieved emails about his crazy, looney, windows-whishfull artical. I would switch to Linux if apple did ever do such a thing. That would be a sad day.
  5. Dvorak should have asked himself these questions before writing his artical. 1. Why do you think people use Macintosh Computers? So they can buy expensive hardware. Answer... NO, so they can use the Mac OS (aka Macintosh Software). 2. Why do you think apple is a hardware company? Because they manufacture computers and mp3 players. Answer... Yes... But if they didn't write excellent software for the hardware, nobody would purchase their products. 3. John C. Dvorak, why don't you use Macintosh computers? Because I'd have nothing to whine about on TWIT anymore. Answer... Correct, Yes, Good Job, you hit the nail on the head with that one John C. Dvorak. ......... Main Entry: 1 whine Pronunciation: 'hwIn, 'wIn Function: verb Inflected Form(s): whined; whin·ing Etymology: Middle English, from Old English hwInan to whiz; akin to Old Norse hvIna to whiz intransitive senses 1 a : to utter a high-pitched plaintive or distressed cry b : to make a sound similar to such a cry <the wind whined in the chimney> 2 : to complain with or as if with a whine 3 : to move or proceed with the sound of a whine <the bullet whined... across the ice -- Berton Roueché> transitive senses : to utter or express with or as if with a whine - whin·er noun - whin·ing·ly /'hwI-ni[ng]-lE, 'wI-/ adverb
