    Automator -- need some help

Is it possible to set up an application so that it runs/opens every time my computer wakes from sleep? After replacing the hard-drive on my iMac the fan is now stuck running on full blast unless I run a command line in terminal to manually reset it. I used terminal to create an app that does this and placed it onto my desktop. I added the program to my startup items so that it runs every time I turn my computer on, but I still have to manually open the program every time my computer wakes up from sleep or the fans will crank up. Opening the application manually from the desktop is not that big of a pain but I would like to reduce some of the clutter on my desktop -- is there any way using automator to make this program, or the command line that it's running, run every time my computer wakes from sleep?
