  1. iRiver iFP series recorders/players

I recently posted a long review about recording with the iRiver series of recorders and players. They work well on Macs and can be ideal for people who want to record high quality audio (up to Stereo 44.1kHz/320kbps). I also suggest some external mics in the article. One that I really like is a headset mic from RadioShack that is only $30. 2. Digital Camera

Hi ProfMoriarty: There are so many good cameras that are Mac friendly. I would recommend two sites for reviews: imaging-resource.com and http://www.dpreview.com. I was just on a TalkShoe live show with Victor from The Typical Mac User which is available here. We spoke a lot about digital photography, and Adam Christianson also contributed to the conversation. (TMUP Live 29-it is in the flash player to the left). All the best, Andrew Darlow Editor, The Imaging Buffet http://www.imagingbuffet.com
  3. Use laptop monitor as a Screen

Hello: I recently heard about this piece of software from Adam on a recent MacCast. <http://www.screenrecycler.com/home.html> I'm curious if it is the answer for your setup. All the best, Andrew Darlow Editor, The Imaging Buffet http://www.imagingbuffet.com
  4. HP Printers

Hi Deathman: I'm wondering if you downloaded the driver from HP's website. That is usually the best option, because they are frequently updated (at least for newer printers). Also check for any firmware updates. After install, delete the printer from Printer Setup Utility if you see it pop up, then add the printer and try printing again. Hope that helps! 5. Hi folks: I'm a big fan of the MacCast and would like to mention my online magazine and podcast. I am a longtime Mac user (since 1984-I still have my 128k Mac, upgraded to 1MB RAM). My website is a mix of news, product reviews and I cover many topics related to digital photography and the Mac, such as the opening of the Apple Store in New York City last year, and tips for low light photography (part 1) and (part 2). I also recently did a review of some external microphones and recording solutions for Mac and Windows users. If you'd like to stop by, the site is http://www.imagingbuffet.com. All the best! 6. Whats to come at MacWorld 2007?

I had an opportunity to attend Macworld and the Keynote last year and it was amazing. I've put my thoughts down in the form of an article and photo gallery. My thinking is that a 32GB flash-based iPod might be released, as well as a tablet. But now that I see the 3rd party tablet possibility, I'm not sure. My other predicitons and a number of images from the "50 yard line" can be found here: <http://imagingbuffet.com/?p=158> All the best, the MacCast Rocks, and we'll know soon enough what's really coming.
