ipod mini harddisc between Mac and Windows

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

AS you know, Apple is doing an education offer where you get 100 pounds back on an ipod when you buy a mac.

In my office at work/uni I have a windows box. Can I use an ipop as a external harddisc, transfering files between home(powerbook) and work?

Dan.

Yes, you just go into the iTunes preferences, under iPod, and selecte "Enabled Disk Mode". The iPod, when attached, shows up as an external hard drive on your desktop, and you can move files back and forth as you please.
