american macbook

my brother is going to america in the summer traveling (getting pissed with his studie m8s) and i was just wondering if i get him to buy me a macbook/pro will there be any problems swap the power cables for a brithish one.

 

i dont wan him to get me 1 then have it blow up with no way to repair it. hopefully some1 out here will have some experience wiht this

 

i thank u in advance.

assuming you had the right power plug, there should be no problems there. the power adapter can handle a variety of voltages/current. the plug and cable are removable from the power brick, and you can replace it with different plugs for different countries. i do believe, however, US keyboards are slightly different than UK keyboards. shouldnt matter though because you can select in system preferences which keyboard layout you want to use. long story short, with the apple world travel adapter kit, you should be set.

The return key and surrounding keys are in different positions I believe as well.
