Downloading HULU onto iPod or iPhone

Recommended Posts

I know how to put Youtube videos on my ipod by going to the activity monitor and double clicking the biggest file and downloading it. Then converting it via isquint. I tried to do that with hulu videos, but it isn't working. Do I need a screen capturing app? Just curious.

Thanks

Well videos like youtube aren't protected, they decided not to bother because they know they'd get less visitors, but anyways, some videos like the bbc iplayer are protected in some sort of embedded code and can't be downloaded because you can't see them.

Yep the only way of getting protected videos (putting aside any legal issues here) is to use a screen capturing app such as iShowU.

ScreenFlow is the best for video because it's the smoothest. And here's a tip for using it (at least in a very limited manner) without paying: if you put the video above or below the point where it puts the export watermark, you can crop the video afterwards using a video editor. You'll just get a lower resolution version. If you're somewhat skilled with video editing, I actually devised a way to remove the watermark using any 2D video compositor (such as Adobe After Effects) and the correct ScreenFlow output settings, but I'm not going to share that method here for potential legal reasons. Feel free to figure it out for yourself, though! ^_^

to be honest, since your already doing it illegally you should just torrent w/e show you want... I personally don't have a problem with it, cause i'd never watch it more then once. But everybody holds to their own standard i guess.
