Creating a Static Free Environment

Recommended Posts

If its at all possible, I plan on switching out my Titanium Mac's motherboard out for a newer one. I have the detailed instructions on how to do it, but I want to make sure its done in a static free environment. I'd love suggestions on what you would do in my position.

Any info. would be of great help.

Well you can always get an antistatic wristband, but i've never used them and i havent had problems. just dont walk around on carpet with socks and then touch the board.

before you touch the board make sure you touch the chassis or a main metal part that is not one of the boards, just to make sure the static is discharged.
