Built-in firewall and blocking of Dreamweaver

Recommended Posts

When I turn on the automatic firewall in Sharing Preferences (OS 10.4.11) my uploads to a remote server through Dreamweaver MX are blocked. Is there a way to open the Firewall to allow these uploads? Thanks for any suggestions.

philk,

Is Dreamweaver using FTP to access the remote site? If so, make sure to set your Dreamweaver FTP settings to use "Passive FTP".

PASV FTP mode makes it possible to get around the problem firewalled systems and NAT-routers have with accepting inbound connections.

Thanks, Car1son, for taking the time to answer. I tried Passive FTP settings in Dreamweaver but still couldn't upload. I'll continue to research the problem.
