New Macbook Pro can't see Ethernet Connection?

Recommended Posts

All of the sudden my Macbook pro stopped seeing my ethernet connection. Network Diagnostic says I am not plugged in. On the router the # port I am plugged into is blinking. I have tried using different cables, switching ports and even surfing on another mac and then quick plugging in it's ethernet connection, but I still can't connect.

Any help would be appreciated.

Delete the ethernet port in the network system preference pane and add it again? If that doesn't work and you've done the standard 'probably won't work, but might as well try it anyway' solutions of repairing permissions and resetting the pram, then it sounds like a hardware fault.
