Recommended Posts

I have one song that I want to edit into 10 segments and put it together as one song in iTunes. How would I go about doing this and the song is in iTunes. :)

I use QT Pro to edit songs. You may also be able to do it with GarageBand, but, I don't know that. Also, I don't know how you'd reassemble it with breaks. I'd probably use a Playlist for it, then, it could just play consectutively and you could skip from 'track' to 'track'.

If any Windows users would like to edit a song off iTunes for free, you will need a couple pieces of software.

dbPowerAmp conversion software: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/

The mp4/AAC codec: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-mp4.htm

Audacity sound editor: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Simply convert the mp4 file in your library to a .wav (or similar) file and open it in Audacity to do your editing.

I'm not sure if this will work with songs you bought off the music store.

I got it off limewire. but i need the song broken into three different parts and combined into ONE BIG SONG with no breaks and it can't be a playlist cause i am putting it on my Shuffle. Also the sites mentioned, are they for macs too?
