Is there a Definitive Nano Scratching Solution?

Recommended Posts

I have heard all sorts of solutions ranging from theinvisibleshield.com to using sandpaper.

Does anyone have a definitive solution?

Can anyone tell me categorically, what I should do if/when I get a black nano?

Thanks in Advance,

CBG

First of all, leave on the protective plastic that covers the face of the nano. Don't remove it until you have a proper case. Second, use something else to cover the silver back of the nano. I used a screen protector for a Palm Pilot that I had laying around. Once you have a good case, then you can remove the protection and put it in the case.

By a case, you mean a solid plastic cover?

I get the feeling that that is going to ruin the look and feel of my nano.

Is this the only sure-fire way?

I'd definitely recommend a case. We're still early in the game as far as nano cases are concerned. The one that appeals to me the most right now is the MicroShield from Extreme Mac. Here's a link:

I think the beauty of the nano is completely visible in this case and it's reasonably priced at $20. Plus, it has a belt clip, which is a must have for me.

I bought this for my 1G iPod many years ago and it's held up great and protected my iPod well. I've seen products like this for the nano, just can't remember where.
