itunes computer authorization?

Recommended Posts

I just got a new mac, and when I went to authorize my itunes songs purchased through the itunes music store, it notified me I've used 4 of the 5 computers I'm allowed to play itunes songs over. But I only have one machine, and I've only authorized this machine and my previous (broken and returned to Apple) machine. I figure this happened from doing erase and installs on my last machine a few times in its lifetime. I can't deauthorize "those machines" because they don't exist. I can't deauthorize machines through the store preferences. I'd appreciate advice. Thank You.

Wasn't there a thread about this subject a while ago ?? I'm sure I read somewhere that if you authorise your maximum of 5 machines, it will then let you de-authorise all of them in one go. Something like that anyway. Maybe someone else can be more specific. Cheers.

EDIT: Yes...Here we go..
