Question on Starting own Apple Support Company

Recommended Posts

Looking to start something on the side with a friend

We are both certified but want to add the apple logo on our business cards.

Also looking for a catchy name for our apple business.

1. Is there any legal issues with putting the apple logo on our business cards?

2. Can you guys help us name our company?

Thanks!

:D

Hi.

I've seen Apple Consultants with the Apple logo on their cards. Also I've seen the Apple Authorised dealer's cards with the Apple logo.

I think as long as you're certified through Apple's program then you're ok. I've seen a site of some other people doing like you're talking about, they might know about the legal issues in more detail.

On the business name...

I'll have to think about it and get back with you.

Thanks! Thought of one. Getting the business cards printed up and even got a bunch of clients lined up just in time for the holidays! :D

All I can tell you is that when we (the CCPMUG) asked to use the Apple logo, we were EXPLICITLY told that the logo may ONLY be used at a certain size and color and NEVER to promote anything other then Apple Corporation (as in not in our logo or on our t-shirts).

Apple Consults Network members are allowed to use the ACN logo (which includes the Apple), as long as they follow a detailed list or requirements.

You'll want to meet up with the manager and small business team at your local Apple stores, as they can greatly help send business your direction.
