New TV Shows on iTunes!!!

Recommended Posts

This is more than a little interesting. For those who don't wish to follow the links, the new shows are:

Law & Order

The Office

Surface

Monk

Battlestar Galactica

The Tonight Show With Jay Leno

Alfred Hitchcock Presents

All are availible for download 24 hours after first airing in the US and cost $1.99/show.

This is very interesting as it now puts some big names under Steves small belt. Names such as NBC Universal, SciFi Channel, USA Network, Disney and ABC are names to follow. Watch this space.

Final thought: Is it me or are these really American shows (as in most of them haven't even had the coverage that Lost did in the UK? Any Americans tell me what seasons are generally airing now and how far through?

Don't forget, Late Night w/ Conan O'Brien is added too! I love that show! I will sooo slap down some $$ for it.

Also:

Dragnet (the vintage one, not the comical movie).

This has proberbly been asked a million times but can i fool iTunes into thinking i am the US and not UK. Reason being is that i don't watch alot of tele but alot of stuff i do watch are american shows and i love watching jay leno and connan o'brien. and i don't wanna have to torrent them.

Don't forget about Vintage NBC!

Knight Rider (yea!) from the 80s

Adam 12 from the 70s

Dragnet from the 60s

Alfred Hitchcock Presents from the 50s!

Now I can only admit to watching Knight Rider (should I admit to that!) but it's great to see different genres being offered.

I wish NBC didn't do widescreen. It doesn't utilize the iPod's pixel real estate well to produce maximum clarity. Plus the $10 for an hour of Conan is a bit steep compared to other shows running at 40 minutes for 1.99

You need a credit card with a US billing address (it may even have to be a US issued card, but don't think so).

So if you have a relative/friend in the States, and you use their address you could probably get round the problem.

For all Australians craving video content:

John Safran is podcasting his show "Speaking in Tongues" that is shown on SBS free of charge! Yay!

Go to: http://www20.sbs.com.au/speakingintongues/ for more info...

(Oh and I think in the US there is some porno network that is called SBS or something? Well it's not in Australia. Well; not really anyway...)

This show is the best thing on TV (in my humble opinion.)

Anyone catch the 12/6 episode that was basically one huge iPod commercial? Perfect timing it seems, too :)
