Images in .Mac

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, I have created an html website and loaded it into my .Mac account. But now the pictures dont work and I do not know where to save them. The pictures are saved on my computer. Where do I save the pictures and where are they saved?

Thank you

I am sure there are alternative means of achieving this, but mine are stored in my iDisk folder named Pictures. I have not gone into detail with my new .Mac account yet, nor do I have a good understanding of such web based technologies, but perhaps that helps.

Yes, I too put my images in my pictures folder in iDisk. When I select the picture and hit cmd+I the says the server is: http://idisk.mac.com/ and the location is: /Volumes/my name/pictures. I have tried different combos like-

<IMG SRC="http://idisk.mac.com/volumes/my name/pictures/image">

This one makes the most sense to me but I have also tried

<IMG SRC="/volumes/my name/pictures/image">

and the pictures still don't show up.

The location with Volumes refers to the disk drives and mount points of the server. Take out the volumes part, it is definitely wrong. don't start your URL with a slash, use HTTP or use relative links.

Try

http://idisk.mac.com/my name/pictures/image.jpg

Good idea, but that didn't work either. I was able to pull a picture off of the internet using a URL. But can't figure out how to get the pictures that are in my idisk

This may not answer your question, but if you try this -- this will access your image in its own link. Then you can use that as a dedicated link

http://homepage.mac.com/my name/.Pictures/image.jpg

note the capitalization of Pictures and the . before it.
