Maybe I'm just stupid, but I never noticed this. You can access software update and be taken directly to the mac osx downloads website from the apple menu

How have you been doing System Update? I never knew any other way than getting there from the Apple menu. :)

You need FruitMenu! You can customize the Apple Menu to your likings, I have mine pretty minimalistic, but there are tons more options than you see in mine.

It's well worth the small shareware fee, it's even Steve Wozniak's recommended pieces of software.

Is there any way to get your menus to look exactly or close to how they looked in OSX 10.2?

I am new to the Mac and OS X with Tiger (10.4). How did the menus look in 10.2?
