Macintosh Book

Recommended Posts

I am buying a new iMac (I can't wait) :D I use to be a heavy Mac user about 10 years ago. I had to move away from the platform due to work and lack of funds.

What do you recommend as a good book for someone who, while isn't completely ignorant about Macs, needs a refresher on the basics plus get caught up on the new features since SOOO much has happened since I last used a Mac?

Thanks for your input!

Personally, as a switcher having never so much as used an Apple before 6 months ago I consider my opinion (and that's all it is) a valid one when discussing this subject, although I'm not sure it's what you expected:

Check out the following URLs and that's all you will need:

http://www.apple.com/macosx/quicktours/viewall.html

Honestly; I believe this is all you need. Good luck, and welcome back to the Mac.

I really like Tiger Unleashed

but it can get too geeky for some

I was lucky to get a free copy from Adam for participating in the switcher story contest when the forums began.

Wow, I didn't realise some of those were so integrated and useful myself. New tricks to teach my class! Yay

Thanks for the tip. Nothing's too geeky for me. Sad, I know.
