Mac Mail - Stopping a Send Request

Recommended Posts

Is there a way of immediately stopping sending an email, if you've clicked 'Send' before you actually intended to?

It seems like there's no way of cancelling a Send request once you've started it.

Thanks,

JG

I don't have my Mac in front of me, so I might be remembering the menus incorrectly. However, I believe there is a way to show some kind of "status" window from the Window menu. In there, it will list all tasks currently active, including any send tasks in progress. Click on any of the tasks and press the stop button to cancel it.

I'll check the specifics once I get home to my Mac...

Of course! Activity Viewer...forgot about that.

Do you know if there's a way to keep it visible the whole time, or integrate it into the sidebar/toolbar?

The window goes behind the moment you click on anything else.

Thanks though

I don't think there's a way to make it visible all the time. That would be a nice feature though! I use it all the time.
