exporting settings to a new account

Recommended Posts

I've been using my mac mini everyday for over a year now under the 'admin' user account. After hearing that that is not the best idea in the world, I've decided to create a standard user account. That was the easy part (I think).

What I need to do now is import my iTunes library, address book, photos, etc. How is this done?

I recently used iBackup to do a full system copy. Can I just copy from my backups or is there a way to import from programs such as iPhoto, iTunes, Address Book and Garageband?

Another question, how long should I go between clean installs?

with the clean installs its mac, you don't need to unless your machine won't boot up or its serious. as for the files, you could put it all in the publix folder of the new user. and if you did use backup 3 you can recreate those backup plans and restore them. or i think you could just click the restore button 9 idont know, haven't used it in a while.)
