A Cool Screenshot Tip

Recommended Posts

I found this tip while browsing around Apple.com

To take a screenshot of a window or a widget in OS X you do not need to use the shift-command-4 and then try to get the crosshairs positioned just right. Just perform the shift-command-4 and then push the spacebar. Your mouse will turn into a camera and any windows or widgets you pass over will highlight. Click the mouse button and you have just taken a screenshot of that window in its fullest!

Cool huh? (Oh... this does work in Panther as well as Tiger!)

I use this all the time, and frankly; I think this is worth an extra $20 on the price of OS X. I use it that much.

Also, shift, control, function 3/4 saves the picture to clip board instead of creating a file
