iCal 1.5.5 vs. iCal in Tiger

Recommended Posts

When I use iCal in Panther (1.5.5), after closing (even quitting), the date displayed on the dock remains today's date. This is a fresh install & I don't have any added software (yet) to this PB. On my MBP, using whatever the Tiger edition of iCal is, this is not the case (i.e. when iCal is quit, the date changes back to July12 (or whatever it is that Adam was talking about on the show today)). Is there a setting that I am missing in the Tiger version? I like the way the 1.5.5 handles this....keeping today's date displayed long after it is closed or quit. Any tips on figuring this one out?

This has been a known issue of iCal in Tiger since it's release. Google will reveal hacks, workarounds, plugins and the like to correct this issue but Apple have not fixed it. Here's hoping Leopard will fix it.
