PowerBook memory

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm looking to upgrade my PowerBook from the 2 512 chips it came with to 2 Gig chips. Can anyone recommend a good brand, price, and place to buy online?

Thanks,

Chris

I highly reccommend OWC (macsales.com)

you can find the RAM you need easially. they are extremely affordable.I have ordered bulk from them (and other companies) and they are the best.

OWC is a good place for Mac users to shop, I agree.

Another option is New Egg, they usually have a very broad range of memory products available.

I like going to new egg for things like hard drives, but RAM is OWC for me (macsales.com) they sell their own RAM, so you can buy direct from the manufacturer instead of a reseller like newegg.

I bought my 15" PowerBook new at an Apple Store the day Tiger was released (April, 2005, I believe).

It's a 1.67 GHz PowerPC model.

Which chips do you recommend I buy from OWC?

Thanks,
